Low Lactose Milk formula for hand-rearing all animal species, including puppies, kittens, lambs, piglets, calves, foals, cria and marsupials.
Lactose is a sugar present in high levels in cow's milk. Many other animals have low levels of lactose in their milk and do not digest it
causing digestive upset or diarrhoea. Most low-lactose formulas are made from modified cow's milk by converting the lactose into simple
sugars. This process does not alter the protein or fat content, which may be quite inappropriate for other species. For example, cow's milk
only contains 20% whey protein, but the milk of many domestic animals and marsupials contains up to 50% whey protein. Similarly, the
fat in cow's milk is highly saturated with low levels of essential fatty acids. In other species, the fat is more unsaturated, containing high
levels of omega-3 & 6 fatty acids.

Formula One is made from individual ingredients blended together to produce a milk that is low in lactose yet contains more whey protein, unsaturated fat and omega-3 fatty acids than lactase modified cow's milk products.
