Peptosyl Digestive Support Liquid

Peptosyl is a non-antibiotic liquid which may be used to aid in the treatment of dietary and non-infectious diarrhoa. This liquid is indicated for the control and treatment of diarrhoea and pain, associated with non-bacterial disturbances including enteritis, colitis, and gastritis. With a wide safety margin, Peptosyl is effective as a first line of defence, and has analgesic, antiseptic, and antacid properties. With Bismuth salicylate, this liquid lines and protects the mucosal lining of the gut, and absorbs toxic compounds. Salicylate is anti-inflammatory and can help reduce pain associated with gastrointestinal inflammation.

Directions: Use only as directed by your veterinarian. Infectious causes of diarrhoea should always be ruled out to ensure proper treatment is received. Dose rate: For dogs, give 0.25-0.5mL per kilogram bodyweight, by mouth, every 6 hours for 36 hours and then at 12 hour intervals for a futher 2-3 days. For horses, give 0.5-1.0mL per kilogram bodyweight, every 3 hours for 36 hours and then at 12 hour intervals for a further 2-3 days.
